Unconventional hairstyles are fun to look at but don't translate well off the runway to the home when you don't have a team of stylists at hand. This Spring, there was no question that wearable looks had a major presence on the runway during Fashion Week. That's not to say that creativity wasn't on full display- we saw new ways to wear your ponytail (think low and wide), braid your braid (try a fishtail, or a crisscross direction, and loose!). Perhaps the most captivating trend this season is hair accessories inspired by everything from blossoming flowers and self tied scarves to sporty bands for when you want to just slip something on and make a statement.
What about color? Jewel tones are still the latest craze; from cobalt blues, to magenta pinks, to ruby reds. As a flash of haircolor, party colors like these can really jazz up your style. Not ready to commit to coloring your hair? Colored clip in extensions are a great way to add that fun color for a fun night out, to match an outfit, or just to "try-on" the color! Pastels are also a big hit with haircolor trends. Whether you are a blonde, brunette, or have an ombre from last season, adding in soft pinks and lavendars with baby blues really bring out Spring in your hairstyle. For a blonde, a ribbon of hair that has these three colors blurred together-ombre style-is really sweet and gives a touch of girlyness. For a brunette, do the same, but maybe with peaches and yellows; yes we are purposefully adding in oranges and yellows that bring sunshine to your daily 'do!
